What are coach screws used for?
Hexagon head coach screws are mostly used in the building or construction trade for fixing into wood or attaching ironmongery into wood. Coach screws can also be used to fix into masonry and brick using Nylon plugs. They are a much larger and heavy duty fixing compared to standard wood screws. How To Install Coach Screws.
These coach screws have a hexagon head and are driven into the wood using either a socket or spanner. Drilling Pilot holes made be required into certain hard woods.
Coach screws conform to DIN 571 standard, and are available in stainless steel or zinc plated.
